Memories of Moesgaard / Moesgaards Minder
Researcher, co-designer
2021
The temporary exhibition proposal Memories of Moesgaard - Moesgaards Minder (MoM) is a project specifically planned for the aims and setting of Moesgaard Museum. By displaying the major natural, archaeological and contemporary features of the area it redefines what the museum is today, extending its external presence and reshaping the interior with the forms of everyday life. In line with the parameters concerning an inclusive, multigenerational participation, along with an interactive design, the exhibition is oriented to develop a strong user experience. Proximity to the landscape through a new trail and dialogue to the social asset through formal and informal meetings are the basic elements of this edutainment project.
The way MoM is planned and will be curated presents an internalised understanding of MoMu’s vision and mission. It does not only support MoMu’s vision and mission but also adds another layer to these by strengthening the connection both with the landscape and Aarhus University. Throughout the development of the temporary exhibition and the proposed improvements of the Prehistory trail, we have worked towards sustainable solutions. The goal is to create a positive impact that will last for years to come, both in terms of social, natural and economical sustainability.
